Bounds on the spectral radius of Hadamard products of positive operators on lp-spaces

Recently, K.M.R. Audenaert (2010), and R.A. Horn and F. Zhang (2010) proved inequalities between the spectral radius of Hadamard products of finite nonnegative matrices and the spectral radius of their ordinary matrix product. We will prove these inequalities in such a way that they extend to infinite nonnegative matrices A and B that define bounded operators on the classical sequence spaces lp.

Sharp Bounds on the PI Spectral Radius

In this paper some upper and lower bounds for the greatest eigenvalues of the PI and vertex PI matrices of a graph G are obtained. Those graphs for which these bounds are best possible are characterized.

On spectral radius of strongly connected digraphs

It is known that the directed cycle of order $n$ uniquely achieves the minimum spectral radius among all strongly connected digraphs of order $nge 3$. In this paper, among others, we determine the digraphs which achieve the second, the third and the fourth minimum spectral radii respectively among strongly connected digraphs of order $nge 4$.

The spectral radius of matrix continuous refinement operators

A simple analytic formula for the spectral radius of matrix continuous refinement operators is established. On the space L2 (R),m ≥ 1 and s ≥ 1, their spectral radius is equal to the maximal eigenvalue in magnitude of a number matrix, obtained from the dilation matrix M and the matrix function c defining the corresponding refinement operator. A similar representation is valid for the continuous...
